Members come to study, browse and borrow, get support with their homework and join one of the many library activities.

Most of our members are first generation learners from migrant families. The majority are attending government school while some are awaiting enrollment or attending private schools.

Our collection is built and refreshed free of cost
MCL is a member of the Free Libraries Network, a collective of over 180 grassroots libraries across India. Through FLN, we receive brand new books free of cost and at discounted rates from publishers. https://www.fln.org.in/.
Books find a new life when they are donated by a wide network of private households
Members assist in preparing books for the shelves where they can be accessed by all
